Melanie is a Family Law Solicitor and a Director of Dixon Rigby Keogh.

Having qualified in l995 Melanie gained valuable experience in litigation and in all areas of family law. She joined the firm of Dixon Rigby Keogh in Northwich in l997.

Melanie is based at the firm´s Northwich Office. She is a member of Resolution and an Accredited Specialist of Resolution. With over l5 years experience in handling family law cases including some high profile work, divorce, ancillary relief, children matters and cohabitation, Melanie brings an intelligent and very organised, sensible and supportive approach to her work. She appreciates that many lawyers adopt an unnecessarily aggressive approach which can lead to costly and highly emotional proceedings. Her own approach is primarily to treat each client as an individual and to fundamentally consider their best interests throughout. Negotiations often can bring about settlement amicably and speedily without expensive Court proceedings. Melanie is however quite persistent and thorough and her pro active approach means that no files will just sit around gathering dust. Proceedings are in certain cases necessary and clients will find themselves in very capable hands.

It is encouraging that Melanie receives a huge amount of work as a result of recommendations from existing clients and even as a result of recommendations from the other side on occasions!
